Recently I was surfing the internet. I found a website that show their address with a Google Maps link. Google Maps is a free web mapping service application and technology provided by Google that powers many map-based services including the Google Maps website and others.
It means, it can show you a map of your address. There is satellite view of your home. You just have to type your place name at the “Search Maps” there. I try to type my area there, Gelugor, but it didn't show the map. The secret is to type your city and your state/country, then it will show you the map. For example; Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur
The best part of Google Maps is, it can show you a real picture of your place. Just like we are flying with a helicopter. It is a very nice view and could help you know better about roads and places around your area or even other places. Click at the Satellite button there to view in real picture. You can go and explore our world with the Google Maps.
If you are a businessman, this is a good place to advertise your business place, as there will be a lot of people exploring places through the Google Maps and who knows, maybe he would become your regular customer soon.-smile-

My college's lecturer just show me a better earth map than Google Earth, its WikiMapia. The Wikimapia is like more experienced than Google Earth. I say this because, there a lot of label in a place.
What I meant is, for example, if you look at USM (University Science Malaysia) in Wikimapia, you can learn where is School of Physics, International house and others. When you click at that place you can see what it is about and you can also post a comment about that place.
Check that out and if you got time, label your house too, maybe someday I can just go to your house just by referring to WikiMapia.-smile-

I agreed with you about the labels. however for security reason, it is wise not to label your house on the map.

ReplyDeleteI think the technologies nowadays are getting better, and when its free, people will just come again and again.
And for me, I think its okey to label our house at the map,as person like me is Mr nobody to others. Perhaps I can also get new friend.-smile-
